THE Culcheth Players are preparing a fun-filled trio of comedy plays and sketches for their next production.

The show will include "Streuth" a comedy of errors by Michael Green, "Resting Place" a gentle comedy by David Crompton and "Last Tango in Little Grimley" by David Tristram.

The first play in which the Cheshire Regional Amateur Players show how not to put on a play is directed by Albert Sawyer and features Ian McLoughlin, Alex Urmston, Paul Catcheside, David McManus, Karen Morris, Alun Lewis, Allan and Ann Witter and Jenny Procter.

"Resting Place", which features an elderly couple stopping for a chat on their way home from the shops, is directed by Brenda Earl and stars Margaret Fallon and Colin Forster while the third revolves around the Little Grimley Amateur Dramatic Society meeting to decide how to overcome their financial difficulties and is directed by Brenda Earl. The cast is Yvonne Pattinson, Mark Taylor, Jenny Procter and Neil McFarlane.

A number of sketches will also be on the programme and the evening will be compered by David Hill and Allan Witter.

The show runs from February 9-12 inclusive at Culcheth Sports and Social Club (Daten) and curtain up is 7.45pm. Tickets at £5 (£4 concessionary) can be obtained from the ticket secretary on 01925 765136 or from the club bar.
