YOUNG players were blown away by the amount of brass they raised for the Asian Tsunami Appeal.
The Astley Youth Band played a six hour non-stop marathon at a Walkden store and collected £2,135 towards the relief fund.
More than 60 members of the training band and senior band shared the playing throughout the day and were delighted with the result.
