READING the frantic rants of the minor opposition Parties (Lib-Dems, SNP, Greens, UKIP) to the Conservative Party's proposals for taking the UK out of the EUs C.F.P. it strikes me as pure political humbug, because not having got any answers of their own they try to mould recent fishing/political history to their own liking.

Harold Wilson was the first pro-EU Labour PM to start the Iceland Cod-Wars on orders from the unelected Brussels elite and hold a YES campaign in 1975 to join the EU on a totally false premise.

The EU very cleverly saw that if Iceland were to extend its Fishing Limits out to 200 miles, the EU would then have an excuse to make a similar move and take control of all the Western European Fishing Zones as a prelude to finally establishing the concept of a "One-Nation Europe" based on a pattern formerly tried by those great denizens of democracy. The USSR and Hitlers Nazi Germany, the fact that our kinfolk died in the 1939-1945 war trying to prevent the destruction of our United Kingdom and its assimilation into an EU Federal Superstate seems to be another example of collective amnesia on the part of the fringe parties "with nothing to say."

The £30 millions per day that haemorrhages out of British Taxpayers money in ransom to Brussels.

All of this should have been spent here on our Fishing Fleet and NHS not feather-bedding and subsidising Spanish Fishing vessel owners.

If we cannot get a complete divorce from the fraud that is the EU, we should at the very least go for Associate Membership like the canny Swiss, which costs them nowt.
