A STUDENT has spoken of her shock after discovering semi-nude pictures of herself and her university friends had been posted on a sleazy Danish website.

Nikki Chapman, 18, of Barnfield Close,Thornton, is featured naked on the Copenhagen-based 'Ekstrabladet' site covered only by rose petals and, in another shot, wearing skimpy underwear.

The University of Central Lancashire first year marketing student had initially agreed to pose for saucy shots with a group of ten friends for a Breast Cancer Awareness charity calendar.

Nikkihad never modelled before but agreed to help the cancer charity after watching her aunt struggle with the condition.

After months of organising local sponsorship the girls were thrilled when Cambridgeshire-based photographer, Nishan Singh, offered his services free.

But, after signing a model release form during the two-day photoshoot, the girls were dismayed to learn their cheeky pics were featured on both Ekstrabladet and The Sun websites without their knowledge - all perfectly legally.

Nikki - whose Miss February petal pose was inspired by Mena Suvari in 'American Beauty' - said: "Our plan was to sell the calendars on campus.

"We wanted to show that breast cancer is not just something which happens to 'older' women. Girls of our age need to be aware of the risks as well.

"Some of the photos might have been a bit cheeky but mine were tasteful enough.

"We all really got into the spirit of things and, as it was for a good cause, were not too bothered about the photos being seen. In fact we were all really proud of it until we saw it on the web. I wasn't there for the full shoot and didn't know some of the girls had been encouraged to go a little bit further. It was a huge shock."

One of the girls who had been "encouraged" was Nikki's fellow marketing student, 21-year-old Leanne Hudson.

In one photo - which Leanne admits resembles "soft porn" - she is stood naked in a bath with her hands covering her 18-year-old sister's private parts as the pair pretend to canoodle.

Leanne said: "We're so ashamed of ourselves. Our mum is going to disown us!

"Initially we sat in the bubble-filled bath wearing bikini bottoms as a naughty pic. But then we were asked to take our clothes off because they were in view of the shot and it just developed from there. Nishan kept saying how he would really love to work with us and, before we knew it, we were agreeing to the shot that's up on the web.

"As soon as it was over we both looked at each other and just realised how stupid we had been. We are consenting adults but you don't realise how easy it is to end up in a compromising situation."

Mr Singh says he did nothing wrong and sent the pictures to the Danish website to raise awareness of the calendar. The 'girl-on-girl' photo was, he says, included by accident.

Singh said: "The picture isn't that bad but I have apologised to the girls for the mistake, it was a genuine mistake.

"I did the calendar for free, there are other images that I have not done anything with.

"The model release form was to protect myself just as much as the girls.

"It expressly says that the photos could only be used to raise awareness for the calendar, and that's what I have done.

"I have no intention of passing the pictures left, right and centre, or any intention of upsetting the girls."

So far the £6.00 calendar has raised more than £2,000 through university campus and on-line sales.

But both Nikki and Leanne are now urging others to be wary about who they trust if attempting to raise cash in a similar way.

Nikki added: "Something that started out as a such positive thing has turned into a bit of a nightmare.

"But we won't be put off. We're doing this for a good cause and, at the end of the day, that's all that matters."
