LEIGH RMI under 10's came back from their Christmas break to gain a narrow victory over a gutsy Horwich St Mary's side, to continue their winning run.

In the early stages of the game RMI passed the ball well, however against the run of play, Horwich took the lead after some poor defending, but with man of the match Ryan Holland, who put in a tremendous performance, the scores were soon level, when it was Holland himself who netted the equaliser.

Leigh now began to take control with some good passing and with both Zac Nicholls and keeper Brett Taylor keeping the Horwich forwards at bay, it was no surprise that they took the lead when Matthew Wilkinson poked home the goal for a 2-1 half time lead.

The second half started with Leigh on the back foot, and with Horwich pressing forward, they gained an equaliser midway through the half.

As the game went into the final stages it was RMI who were pushing for the winner and in the final minute of the game, good turn and shot from Louis Morris, gave Leigh victory to send them into third position in the league table.
