OTLEY - Sedgley Park's opponents on Saturday - finished last season in fifth spot, their highest ever finish and six places higher than the previous season.

Prolific kicker Simon Binns set a record points total for the season with 310, finishing top points scorer for the third season in succession. Winger Neil Law was top try sorer with nine.

This season Binns has already amassed 165 points from 36 penalties, 22 conversions, two tries and one drop goal.

Otley are currently sixth with 44 points, having won nine, lost five and drawn one.

Of the bottom five sides, they have done the double over Orrell and Nottingham; beaten London Welsh and Henley at home and Sedgley at Park Lane, 28-8 in September.

Scoring Park's points that day were prop Petrus Du Plessis with a try and Blair Feeney with a penalty kick.

On the scoresheet for Otley were tryscorers Shuttleworth, Wilson and Thorpe, while Binns kicked three penalties and two conversions.

However, lately they have been suffering with injuries, notably backrower Glen Wilson, hooker Mark Luffman and locks Paul Williams and Howard Parr.
