ROBBIE Savage today said he can't wait to play his first game for Blackburn Rovers.
Mark Hughes' new £3 million signing was formally unveiled to the media at a specially arranged press conference this morning.
And as his move to Rovers became a reality, Savage said he can now start smiling again following the most traumatic fortnight of his career.
"It's taken a long time to sort out but now I'm here and I'm looking forward to it," said the Welsh international.
"This is the first time I've smiled for a long time and, hopefully, this is going to be a great thing for me.
"I've been through some hard things before but this is probably the hardest thing I've been through in football.
"I'm here now, though, and it's all been worth it."
