A CANCER charity has launched a new campaign to highlight the financial problems affecting people suffering from the disease.
Macmillan Cancer Relief offers financial help to people with cancer and in 2004 helped more than 800 sufferers in Greater Manchester with grants totalling £350,607.
The A Better Deal campaign is aiming to publicise the problems people face when they often find themselves out of work and facing extra costs for travelling and prescription charges.
For more information about how to get support and a free booklet Help with the cost of cancer, call the Better Deal hotline on 0800 500 800 or visit www.macmillan.org.uk/abetterdeal.
