PAUL Byron is still searching for a left-sided player to provide his strikers with ammunition.
The Clitheroe boss has already failed with a swoop for Atherton LR hotshot Paul Crompton but is hoping to tie up a new signing next week.
"At Brigg last week we didn't put any crosses in from the left," said Byron.
"Paul Stansfield did score but he's more of a central player than an out and out left winger.
"The problem is when you're two thirds into the season players are settled with clubs so we'll have to wait and see."
Clitheroe are back in UniBond Division One action tomorrow at Shepshed Dynamo, with Neil Reynolds serving a suspension.
