RAMSBOTTOM United travel to Crilly Park to take on Atherton LR, in an effort to end a two-game losing streak and continue their assault on second place in the NWCFL First Division.

The Rams began 2005 with a 3-0 victory at Formby, but since then they have lost two games on the trot:1-0 away to Skelmersdale in the cup, and 2-0 in the league at home last Saturday to Stone Dominoes.

Despite losing the Rams still find themselves in fourth spot with 44 points.

They are seven points behind third-placed Newcastle Town; eight behind second-placed St Helens Town; and 13 adrift of leaders Fleetwood Town but with games in hand on all of them.

When United entertained LR in the league back in August, they fought out a 3-3 draw.
