FIVE men were arrested and £13,000 in cash seized after 40 police officers investigating drugs dealing carried out raids today.
Seven houses in Little Harwood, Blackburn, were searched from 7.30am as part of a countywide crackdown on Class A dealing, Operation Nimrod.
The men were taken to Greenbank police headquarters in Whitebirk to be quizzed by detectives. Searches for drugs were continuing in the homes.
Detective Inspector Simon Giles said: "This morning we have acted on the intelligence and information given to us by honest, law-abiding members of the community who have simply had enough and want direct action."
