It was a Whitefield whitewash as the club collected three of the four major honours at the Pendle District Cricket League annual presentation night.

As well as winning the league they also won this year's Pemberton Cup and Khizer Memorial tournament. Only Jinna stood in their way from making it a clean sweep as they won the Paak/Pendle Cricket tournament.

Whitefield and Jinna took almost all the winners and runners-up awards on the night. Oldham's Untouchables collected the runners-up medals for the Khizer Memorial tournament and Higate Cusions finshed second place in the Paak Pendle Cricket Tournament.

The mighty Watan for whom collecting trophies in this league has become a pastime were nowhere to be seen. The side began strongly but this season found Whitefield and Jinna in inspired form.

For Jinna, footballer turned cricketer (or is it the other way round) - Ishrat Medhi - continued to pile on the runs. He was awarded the man of the match in the Paak/Pendle tournament final.

Trophies on the night were presented by Mohammed Hanif of EMBA, Joe Collie, Sports and Recreation Officer for Pendle Borough Council, Shahid Yousuf of Cross Construction and Mr Bukhari of Bukhari and Co Solicitors.

Naveed Ashraf of Whitefield was voted man of the match in two of the seasons three cup tournament finals and Mohammed Ayub (Kashmirs CC) was awarded the league batsman award. Amir Ali (Paak United) scooped the the best bowler of the season award.
