MUMS, dads and kids are being invited to a beach party with a difference during the half term holiday.

Beach art, rock pool dipping, guided walks and bird watching plus games and competitions on the beach will all be part of the mix at Half Moon Bay, Heysham, on Tuesday.

The occasion is a 'Low Tide Day' event being staged by the Morecambe Bay Partnership 'BeachCare' project with backing from the Youth Action Network.

Everyone is guaranteed a fantastic day of fun with a list of activities this is growing every day in the fields of music, dance, drama, art or just plain good fun.

The aim is to show people how much the bay has to offer and to promote volunteering opportunities with the BeachCare project, which regularly runs events around the coast to clean up and care for the beaches.

It will be free to attend but organisers want people to get in touch if they plan to go along as some workshops have limited space and registration will be necessary.
