I WRITE in response to Brian Yates of Lancaster, who suggested that people who live on the Morecambe side of the Lune and travel to Lancaster each day should stop complaining and move to Lancaster (Citizen, last week).

I'd love to hear his suggestion for families where one member works in Morecambe and the other in Lancaster?

I'm not arguing that a new road is the solution, but I do object when people have no concept about the reality of the problem.

For me, the solution was to learn to ride a motor cycle. I now complete my journey in half the time, stress has been replaced with enjoyment and I'm saving a small fortune.

A motor cycle or scooter may not be practical for all but I would highly recommend that anyone who is able should give it a try.

Now If only the county council would allow motor cyclists to use the bus lanes...
