REGARDING your headline "Summer killjoys waste our time" (LET, May 21), why are we all supposed to tolerate ball games and unruly behaviour by kids and teenagers in the street?
I am not elderly (36) and have three boys. I do not allow them in the road with a ball.
They know it annoys the neighbours, so, they go to a spare piece of land, or the playing fields.
It's the same old problem.
Some parents today have no control and even encourage their children to cause a nuisance to others!
There would be an uproar if one of their children was in an accident with a car -- no doubt blaming the driver, not the children for being in the road in the first place!
