A LOCAL solicitor is demonstrating that where there's not a will there's a way - on the worldwide web!

Mark Hatzer has launched a Law On Line self-help legal website to professionally assist members of the public prepare their own wills and divorces.

Operated by the 37-year-old fully qualified and practising Prestwich solicitor, regulated by the Law Society, the website carries professional indemnity insurance of up to £1 million. This affords customers a comeback should any of its products later be shown to be unsuitable.

"Many legal 'self-help' sites fail to provide these assurances and may be putting their customers at risk," says Mark, of Rowany Close.

"Law On Line was developed to help those members of the public who do not qualify financially for legal aid and cannot afford a solicitor's hourly charging rate which can be as high as £250 plus VAT."

His http://www.lawonline.ltd.uk web site offers guidance and prompts to enable users to obtain immediate assistance on a range of legal matters from obtaining a will to getting a divorce - at a fraction of the cost of instructing a high street solicitor. Users are briefed on how to complete their own legal documents which can then be downloaded and printed.

Mark continued: "With so many people dying without having made a will, and so many marriages ending in divorce, there is a large market for our service. Law On Line's philosophy is to provide the best DIY legal documentation and guidance online at affordable prices, with the assurance that our customers are protected against unqualified advisers who have taken advantage of a relaxation in regulations governing who can provide legal services to the public."

Bachelor Mark has lived in Prestwich all his life and got his law degree at the University of Central Lancashire. He then went to Manchester Metropolitan University for his solicitors final examinations in the late 1980s. For the past 14 years, he has worked in private practice in Manchester.
