THIS year Volunteers Week celebrates its 21st anniversary.

Once again there will be events throughout the country to acknowledge and thank volunteers for the huge contribution they make to their community.

The week also provides an opportunity to encourage others to get involved in a club, project or organisation in their home town and really help make a difference.

One of these organisations is The British Lung Foundation, the only charity supporting the eight million people living with lung conditions in the UK, and volunteers are needed today in all areas of the country.

By giving a couple of hours of your time each month, you could help support your local Breathe Easy groups - a network of support groups for people living with lung disease by providing information and support.

If you would like to get involved please call the BLF on 020 7688 5576 or email volunteering@blf-uk.org
