THE people of Rossendale have been invited to zipslide 700ft for charity.
The Anthony Nolan Trust, a leukaemia charity, is gearing up for a fund raising event at Ramsbottom’s Peel Tower.
Holcombe Hill’s 150-year-old tower has become a regular site for the charity which works to provide bone marrow donors for leukaemia patients.
Last year 150 people zip sliding at the site raised £20,000 for the charity.
Ruth Carter, regional fundraising manager, said: “This is a fantastic event, whether you are a first time zipslider or more experienced, it promises to be an exhilarating day.
“We are sure that it will again be a sell out.”
