PENDLE MP Gordon Prentice is to meet the owners of two of the borough’s businesses to find out how they are beating the recession.
Mr Prentice will visit Jordan Communications and Brand Spankin’, in Nelson, on Friday.
He will be briefed on the latest business communications and public relations innovations being developed by the companies.
According to the MP, he is hoping to learn how local businesses are surviving the economic downturn.
In addition, he would like to see first hand how firms are managing the challenges of retaining skilled staff.
He will also meet Julian Jordan, chairman of the charity ‘Enterprising Pendle’, which offers support and mentorship to people and groups who have an idea for a new business, an existing business, or a community enterprise in Pendle.
Mr Prentice will meet the business owners at Pendle Innovation Centre, in Brook Street, at 2pm.
