NINE Rovers fans have been charged in connection with violence following the Blackburn and Burnley derby.

It follows the charging of 19 Burnley supporters on Friday over what police describe as a ‘planned fight’ at the Station Hotel pub, Cherry Tree, Blackburn, after the October 18 game.

Seven men and one boy have been charged with violent disorder and one man with a public order offence.

All have been bailed to appear before Blackburn magistrates on Friday.

One man remains on police bail.

The following people have been charged with violent disorder: Samuel Bowen, 25, of Melville Drive, Blackburn.

David Comberbach, 40, of Bank Hey View, Blackburn.

Jordan Hoyle, 19, of Park Farm Road, Blackburn.

Kenneth Lysons, 20, of Selborne Street, Blackburn.

Joshua Riley, 21, of Solway Avenue, Blackburn.

Paul Rushton, 45, Boxwood Drive, Blackburn.

Christopher Sutton, 22, Meadow Gardens, Rishton.

And a 17-year-old boy from Blackburn, who cannot be named for legal reasons.

Ashley Fielding, 22, of Winward Close, Blackburn, was charged with a section five public order offence.
