A 43-YEAR-OLD Oswaldtwistle man sent a woman 130 text messages in a nine-hour period despite being subject to a harassment warning.
Graham John Hodgson, 43, of Stanhill Road, pleaded guilty to harassing Andrea Adamson.
He was remanded on bail by Hyndburn magistrates for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
Philippa White, prosecuting, said Miss Adamson had known the defendant for a year and described their relationship as a friendship which Hodgson wanted to take further.
Mrs White said: “Because of his unwanted attention she sought and obtained a harassment warning against the defendant.”
Despite the warning Hodgson started to text her and on December 27 sent her 130 text messages between 9am and 6pm.
“The content of some of these messages was not pleasant,” said Mrs White.
Graeme Parkinson, defending, said Hodgson accepted the number of texts he sent and the content of some was inappropriate.
