AN animal sanctuary is still appealing for people to sponsor a dog to fund £5,000 worth of rare and complicated surgery.
Two-year-old Doberman Maddy was taken in by Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary, Edenfield, in April with broken bones in her feet after other animal charities refused to help her.
The dog, originally from Blackpool, is believed to have suffered a huge impact to her feet, most likely caused by jumping out of a window.
