POLICE are investigating serious damage to the trunk of a tree under a preservation order in the Golden Soney area of Tockholes.
A preservation officer inspected the damage to the old ash tree and deemed that it could not be saved and would die.
The incident happened in May. Anybody with information regarding the damage is urged to contact local PCSO Nick Gisicz on 01254 222123.
