AN archaeological record must be made of a landmark building in Nelson before it is bulldozed.
People living in Whitefield have been looking forward to the demolition of the former printworks on Every Street.
And planning permission was granted to raze the building on February 4.
But one condition, before wreckers can move in, is that Lancashire County Council conservation experts must carry out a formal archaeological inspection.
The historical record, complete with photographs for county archives, will be finished before Monday.
Council officials are currently in talks with demolition contractors and expect the printworks to be pulled down during April.
Recyclable material will be salvaged.
