RIBBLE VALLEY MP Nigel Evans has questioned the publicity given to rock band U2 by the BBC.
Recent trailers on the channel promote a week of events called U2=BBC, just before the band’s new album is released on March 2.
Mr Evans, who sits on the culture, media and sport select committee questioned why licence fee-payers should support the band’s publicity.
