Alleyway to Close?
It's looking likely that the alleyway near the traffic lights in the centre of Haslingden will be closed overnight. Plans have been approved by the Lancashire Local-Rossendale committee and will now be passed on to Rossendale Council's Cabinet.
The go ahead has been given despite a local petition expressing concern over the plans. It was thought that the incidence of anti-social behaviour justified closing the alleyway overnight.
