A 23-YEAR-OLD Blackburn man has been charged in connection with a probe into ticket touting at top Premier League football clubs, police said tonight.
Suhail Patel was arrested at Manchester United’s Old Trafford ground during a Champions League game against Lyon on March 4.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police, which led the investigation, said: “Suhail Patel, 23, of Eldon Road, Blackburn, has been charged with four counts of fraud and six counts of money laundering.
”He has been bailed to appear before Blackburn magistrates on October 3.”
The inquiry is understood to have involved the alleged sale of tickets at inflated prices through a website.
The investigation, which started last October, was funded by the UK Football Policing Unit working in partnership with the Football Association and the Premier League.
