A FIVE-year-old boy was left with a hand shaped bruise on his face after being struck by a 38-year-old Accrington man.
Blackburn magistrates heard Jason Wayne Heys admitted to police that he had “lost it” and hit the boy “far too hard”.
Heys, of Merton Street, Nelson, but of Elizabeth Street, Accrington, at the time of the offence in July, admitted assaulting the boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons.
He was sentenced to 18 weeks in prison suspended for two years, with community supervision for two years.
