A TEENAGER from Hoddlesden has organised his first legal rave after being stopped by police.
Zac Lawrenson set up his company, Get It On – Rave, a year ago and said he could attract more than 300 teenagers from 14 to 18 because there were so few activities in the area.
His last planned rave was discovered by residents just days before it was due to take place at Waterside, Hoddlesden, in July.
The Criminal Justice Act 1994 made the gathering of more than 100 people at which amplified music was played causing distress to the community as an offence punishable by three months in jail or a £2,500 fine.
Mr Lawrenson, 19, said the raves helped keep trouble off the streets, but vowed to work with police and private landowners after being tracked down by police.
The legal rave will take place on Saturday at Ibiza Reunion in Exchange Street, Blackburn.
It will feature fire-breathers, photographers, laser shows and four DJs.
