TWO men made off with £150 in cash after conning a pensioner to get in to his Oswaldtwistle home.
Police said the men claimed they were checking the man’s taps in Thwaites Road following a water leak just before noon on Monday.
One of the thieves was described as being 6ft with short brown hair and wearing a white top and dark trousers.
The second was said to be 5ft 8in, stocky and with a red face.
They are believed to have left in a silver Volkswagen.
