A THIEF who stole diesel worth £60 in an early hours raid on a works yard was given a two-month curfew by Burnley magistrates.
Mark Fleming, 27, of Harold Avenue, had been spotted syphoning fuel from a lorry at 5am at Ryder PLC, on Accrington Road, Burnley.
The compound had a fence and a locked gate. He was identified on CCTV and through DNA.
The defendant, who had a long record, admitted theft. He must stay indoors between 7pm and 7am.
Richard Taylor, defending, said Fleming had had no money as he had not been receiving benefits.
