A DISABLED teenager who attacked a pregnant care worker at a Burnley residential home is awaiting sentence.
The town's magistrates heard how Mohammed Ali, 19, hit Tracey Riley in the side of the neck, possibly with a cup of water.
When he was later arrested and questioned by police, the defendant claimed the victim had given him a funny look.
The court was told at the time Ali, said to have a mental age of seven, had been subject of a conditional discharge for an earlier attack on a worker at the home.
Ali, more recently living at Keirby Walk, Burnley, admitted assault by beating.
He was bailed until September 30 for a pre-sentence report. the bench, who said the victim had been vulnerable, added they were looking at a community penalty
