ASSAULTED: A 19-year-old man was found lying in Empress Street, Accrington, with stab wounds to his chest
A MAN is in a critical condition after being stabbed in Accrington.
The 19-year-old was found in Empress Street with a stab wound to his chest at around 12.25am this morning.
He was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital but has since been transferred to Blackpool Victoria Hospital for emergency surgery.
Two men, aged 19 and 23, both from Accrington have been arrested on suspicion of wounding.
