A DRUG addict who stole a mother of three’s handbag in a bid to get cash for his £500-a-week habit was given help.
Samuel Main, 36, stole the handbag from her trolley in Morrisons, in Nelson, Burnley magistrates were told.
Main, of Smith Street, Nelson, admitted theft. He was given a six- month drug rehabilitation requirement.
The court was told Main had kicked heroin, but had now replaced it with an addiction to crack cocaine, costing him between £60 and £80 a day.
