POLICE have renewed their appeal to find a group of drunken teenage ‘hoodies’ who attacked and robbed a man in Burnley.

Stephen Jackson, 42, was walking back to his Coal Clough Lane home, from a nearby corner shop, when the gang attacked him.

Mr Jackson, who was robbed of just £10 from his wallet, was left with swelling to the right of his face and also suffered bruises on his chest and arms from the kicks.

He says he is now frightened of leaving the house after dark.

Police condemned the attack and are still urging witnesses to the incident, which took place around 11.10pm on Friday August 29, to come forward.

The five boys and three girls are described as white, aged 15 to 16, and were wearing dark hooded tops.

One of the boys had short blond hair.
