SIX firefighters from East Lancashire are set to receive medals in recognition for their long service and good conduct.
The awards are for 20 years service of a consistently high standard.
A presentation ceremony will take place at the service’s training centre in Euxton, Chorley, today at 7.30 pm.
The recipients are watch manager Philip Mayers, watch manager Philip Whittaker and firefighter Thomas O’Kane, all from Hyndburn Fire Station; firefighter Nigel Gouldthorpe and watch manager John Cairns, from Blackburn Fire Station, and watch manager Duncan Barker-Brown, from Padiham Fire Station.
