EMOTIONALLY charged indie music sells well, but humming along to Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars can gather dirty looks in certain company.
The awkwardly named {Satellite-State} make such music, and although they're slightly edgier than Snow Patrol, they are neither as dark as Editors or as adventurous as Doves.
Indeed this could yet be the perfect formula for filling stadiums, but for one flaw: a lack of invention seriously hampers some otherwise well-crafted tunes – for a debut EP this doesn't show a lot of breadth.
{Satellite-State} certainly have potential, but if you're too cool for daytime radio then these boys aren't for you.
