A East Lancashire tribute band will celebrate 10 years of touring the UK and Europe with a gig in Darwen this Saturday, November 25.

True Order, the only tribute to New Order in the UK and Europe, play at Sunbird Records at The Circus in Darwen this weekend, their only local gig for 2023.

The band, based in Blackburn, have played at major tribute festivals in Europe, as well as Glasgow Barrowlands, the 02 circuit and Spike Island, with other tribute bands such as The Clone Roses.

The band, who are all from East Lancashire and have full time jobs alongside, have a big following online and are known around the UK and Europe.

They were also a question on ITV quiz show The Chase.

Lancashire Telegraph: Band member Andrew McCrimmon said: "We love and really enjoy playing. People are coming from Barnsley and Darlington who have seen us before to watch us in Darwen on Saturday.

"We have made some really good friendships from people who have seen us 10 or 12 times in the Midlands or North West and it is really nice that people recognise what we do and to support us.

"We really enjoyed playing Barcelona and Paris, it was ace as you can imagine."

They will be playing songs from the early years after the demise of Joy Division, including the haunting 'Ceremony' along with the anthemic 'Temptation', right through to tracks from 2015's Music Complete, such as 'Restless' and 'Singularity'.

Andrew continued: "We have all been involved in music for 20 or more years.

"Tickets for this weekend are selling pretty well and next year we have a busy year that we are going to announce the details of soon.

"Come and see us, we are so looking forward to celebrating our 10th year playing!"

The gig starts at 7pm until 2am.
