A DRUG dealer who was jailed for almost six years has been ordered to pay back more than £2,000 which he made from his criminal activities.
Lukman Bapu, 26, of Carr Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to 13 offences of supplying drugs when he appeared in court in March.
Now a judge at Preston Crown Court has ordered that the proceeds from his crimes be should confiscated.
He was ordered to pay £2,339.99 within six months or face a further 35 days prison sentence.
Bapu was the head of a small team of drug suppliers operating from vehicles and on foot in the Whalley Range area of Blackburn.
His arrest was part of Operation Nimrod a long-term intelligence-led police campaign to eradicate Class A drugs dealing.
Julia Pickering, a financial investigator for Lancashire police, said: "As this case shows, people will not profit from crime in Lanca-shire.
"The Proceeds of Crime Act is one of many tools we are using to come down hard on offenders, it has given police powers to strip criminals of assets acquired through crime."
