FAMILY and friends of a young woman who died of leukemia days after getting married to her childhood sweetheart are taking part in tonight's Race For Life in her memory.
Sadie Musgrove, 20, of Hollies Road, Wilpshire died on December 29, 13 days after her marriage to husband Matthew.
She had been diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 18.
Her cousin Shelley Kearns, 31, from Langho has organised for a group of 12, including Sadie's mum, aunties, cousins and friends to take part in the fund-raising 5k run. They hope to raise in the region of £200.
Shelley said: "I did it last year for her and she was waiting at the finishing line for me.
"This time I'm going to take my medal and put it on her grave."
She added: "I haven't done any preparation for the event, but I managed last year. If I can do it, anyone can."
