AN EVENT has been set up to promote rail ambass-adors in the campaign to reopen a link between Colne and Skipton.
Rail campaigners Selrap have organised the event to be held at Greatwood Community Centre, Skip-ton, from 9.45am to 2pm on Saturday.
Skipton-East Lancashire Rail Action Partnership's rail ambassadors have promoted the Lancashire-Yorkshire link at events including Burnley May Day and the Trawden Show.
They have also displayed information at local stations and published articles about the railway.
The training day will include information about the line and what ambass-adors can do to help get it reopened.
Organiser Joy Holds-worth said: "If you are enthusiastic and you like talking to people, volunt-eering as a rail ambassador is a lot of fun."
