A 61-year-old Langho woman was found to be more than double the legal drink-drive limit when she was breathalysed following a crash on the A59 near Whalley.
Pauline Robinson, of Moorland Road, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol. She was banned from driving for two years and fined £250 with £50 costs.
Isla Chilton, prosecuting, said the accident occurred at 4.40 pm when Robinson's car collided with the kerb and ended up facing the wrong way on the Bramley Mead roundabout.
Imran Hussain, defending, said earlier in the day Robinson had taken a neighbour to visit his wife in a nursing home and had been very upset when she returned home.
"She drank some wine but felt she was fine to drive," said Mr Hussain.
