A MAN who is alleged to have falsely claimed his ex-boyfriend had child pornography on his computer denied perverting the course of justice today.

Andrew Collis, 41, told police that Damian Marsh had indecent images of children on his computer on January 24, Burnley Crown Court heard.

Mr Marsh was suspended from his role as headteacher of St Andrews C of E Primary School in Ramsbottom, while police investigated the claims.

He was released without charge and has resumed his role at the school.

Today, Collis pleaded not guilty to perverting the course of justice.

Collis, formerly of Rawtenstall, was released on conditional bail and ordered to reside at an address in Bishops Tachbrook, Leamington Spa.

His trial will be held at Burnley Crown Court on August 11.
