POLICE are investigating a series of attacks on a town centre sports store in Colne over the past weekend.
Vandals first targeted Fox Sports, in Market Street, overnight last Thursday and Friday, hurling a piece of dry stone wall through the front door.
But nothing was stolen and the damage was discovered by the store's owners the following morning.
However, on Saturday, between 4am and 5am, another window was smashed and thieves broke into the premises, snatching two black and white Trespass tracksuits worth £150.
Later the damaged window was boarded up but the store was hit for a third time between 2.30am and 3.30am on Monday.
Thieves removed the boarding from the smashed window and stole another two black Trespass tracksuits, three black Location tracksuits, with luminous green logos across the front, and a further four Location children's jackets, worth £580.
Witnesses are now being sought by police.
