ANYTHING Goes is this year's production from the adult group at Rossendale Amateur Operatic Society (RAOS).

The Cole Porter musical - set on the SS American on its voyage from New York to England in the early 1930s - features a host of mistaken identities and confusions, resulting in hilarious consequences.

The rich passengers are introduced to stowaway Billy Crocker a flunky to Wall Street broker Elisha Whitney. Along with Moonface Martin (a fugitive from the Feds) and his moll, Urma, Billy sets about creating disguises to enable him to get close to the American heiress Hope Harcourt who is travelling with her mother, and intends to marry the foppish Sir Evelyn Oakleigh.

Add to this the ex-evangelist Reno Sweeney and her bevy of Angels', some great tap routines and glitzy costumes and Anything Goes is a show not to be missed. The popular tunes of Anything Goes, I Get a Kick out of You and It's De-lovely will set your feet tapping.

Anything Goes will be at the Royal Court Theatre, Bacup from today until Saturday, April 26. For tickets call 01706 874080.
