A MANCHESTER man has been charged in connection with an armed robbery at a Blackburn jewellers.
Jeffery Groom, 29, of Blackley was arrested after police executed two warrants in the Blackley and Middleton areas of Manchester.
Groom was subsequently charged in connection with the armed robbery at Ancient and Modern jewellers which happened on December 19 and also an armed robbery in Oldham on November 9.
He appeared before Manchester City Magistrates on Friday and was remanded in custody.
Two other men, aged 25 and 56 from the Greater Manchester area were also arrested on suspicion of armed robbery and have been bailed pending further enquiries.
