A 23-year-old man has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with conspiracy to murder after being extradited from Ireland.
Craig Monaghan, of no fixed address, was sent in custody to Preston Crown Court, where he will be dealt with along with eight other men who have already been committed on a conspiracy to murder charge.
Suheal Patel and his cousin Sameer Kanwadkar escaped death by inches when a bullet was fired through the passenger side of the Fiat Punto they were sitting in, in an alleyway behind Accrington Road, Blackburn, 13 months ago.
Monaghan agreed to return to the UK voluntarily after Lancashire police had put an extradition order in place.
