ACCRINGTON'S motorbike rally is back and bigger than ever.

The three-day bike show and live music event "Off Yer Sprocket 08" will be at the end of May at Blackburn Rugby Club's newly enlarged clubhouse.

This year's bands include rally stalwarts Riff Raff playing on Friday night, and the Jalepenos are back by popular demand to play on Saturday night. Support bands are also set to feature at the event which includes an indoor bar and rock disco, outdoor barbecue, games and bike show.

The event has been held at the rugby club for the past six years, as organisers say there is nowhere as suitable in Accrington itself. Accrington Motor Cycle Club say the site provides well-drained camping with toilets and showers open 24 hours with disabled access. Pre-booked tickets are £12 or £15 on the gate. Children between 10 and 16 years of age pay half price, however children under 18 must have adult supervision.

Cars, which are discouraged at the event, cost an extra £20 and are pre-book only, with exceptions made for disabled blue badge holders. The event will take place at the rugby club, Ramsgreave Drive, from Friday May 23 to Sunday May 25.
