A DECISION has yet to be made on whether to build a retail and leisure centre in Rawtenstall.
The development control committee at Rossendale Council delegated the decision to the head of regulatory services, after lengthy discussions on Tuesday night.
But the proposals for the garden centre, two- storey ten-pin bowling alley, and a two-storey health and fitness club may have to be considered at a future development control meeting.
There could also be two two-storey restaurant units and two freestanding single- storey restaurant units.
The application includes plans for a total of 263 car parking spaces, including 24 for the disabled.
The site is mainly vacant, although construction work is currently underway for Argos and Pets at Home stores.
