'Colne in Bloom' volunteers are starting their work to prepare Colne for the North West in Bloom competition in the summer.
They have already tidied up the grassed area next to the main road at Primet Bridge where litter had blown and been thrown.
The Spring troughs and planters are looking good but summer plants will replace these soon.
A big project is the shopping area at the top of Colne which is being redesigned and will need planting up when it is finished.
The committee are looking for more volunteers to help them with their work. If you wish to help please contact louise.cooper@pendle.gov.uk 01282 661236 or dorothy,lord@pendle.gov.uk 01282 859025.
We wish to thank our loyal supporters - Boundary Mill, Borough of Pendle, Barnfield Construction and XLCR Vehicle Management.
